9/30/2011 Dream Theater @ Kingsbury Hall

What a show these guys put on.  Being a fan for many years now I was eager to see the band live since Mike Portnoy left.  Portnoy left the band in October 2010 to join a far more inferior band than Dream Theater.  After extensive try outs the members of Dream Theater selected Mike Mangini  to joined the band in April 2011.  Mangini had some pretty big shoes to fill at first, but to me he fits the spot just right.

These photos were taken on 9/30/2011 @ Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City.  Some of these bigger bands have a strict photo policy, this was no exception.  I was given 15 minutes to do my work and then the camera had to be put away.  Which in this case was welcoming.  I got to sit back and enjoy the technical mind fuck Dream Theater delivers.

I give this shoot a 4 out 5.
